  • Set a comparable observation window
  • Use the focused tool on a creator handle
  • Worked example: a ceramics tutorial commission
  • Plan a sustainable asset, not an unexplained frequency target

Review creator posting cadence as an observed publication pattern over a stated window. It can help plan a commission and identify the formats an account currently publishes. It does not show production effort, every deleted post, internal scheduling or the frequency that causes better performance. A busy feed is not proof a creator can accept your deadline.

Set a comparable observation window

Choose the period and content types relevant to the campaign. Record actual publication dates rather than feed position, since pinned or resurfaced posts can distort order. Distinguish short videos, long tutorials, live sessions and other formats. A repost should not automatically be counted as a newly produced asset.

  • Keep the start and end dates, capture date and platform with the log.
  • Mark unavailable dates, inaccessible posts and uncertain duplicates.
  • Describe a publication gap as a gap in the observed sample; do not diagnose why the creator paused.

Use the focused tool on a creator handle

The Pro Posting Cadence accepts a handle and TikTok, Instagram or YouTube and costs 1 credit. It does not take a niche field. Review its cited examples and compare them with accessible originals. Coverage can be incomplete, so avoid presenting a sampled count as the creator’s complete archive.

  1. 1

    Collect dates by format

Save original URL, date, format and whether the asset appears newly produced or republished.

  2. 2

    Compare equivalent periods

Use the same window and format definitions when comparing candidates. Preserve differences rather than averaging unlike work.

  3. 3

    Ask about production availability

Confirm current workload, lead time, revisions and existing commitments directly; these are not visible in public cadence.

Worked example: a ceramics tutorial commission

A fictional craft supplier compares a creator posting studio diaries with one publishing detailed firing tutorials. A daily diary and a careful tutorial have different production requirements. The team reviews tutorial dates separately, asks about workshop availability and schedules the sponsored asset around the agreed process.

  • Log: date; URL; format; topic; new/reused/uncertain; access gap; relevant sponsor asset; limitation.
  • Commission worksheet: filming prerequisites; production lead time; revision scope; delivery date; publication slot; contingency; creator confirmation.
  • Interpretation: a tutorial gap may matter for format recency, but it is not evidence of low motivation or weak audience trust.

Plan a sustainable asset, not an unexplained frequency target

YouTube upload planning and YouTube fanbase planning support considering production and communication. Use public observations to form questions, then agree a realistic delivery plan. Test your own schedule against your own goals rather than claiming that a sampled competitor frequency causes success.

Keep the record useful

Update saved observations manually when new work changes the picture. Cadence research does not automatically monitor a creator or run a publishing calendar. Use the weekly research routine to plan follow-up.

Frequently asked questions

Can posting cadence reveal how long content takes to make?

No. Public publication dates do not show production workload or internal schedules.

Does Posting Cadence accept a niche?

The current focused tool accepts a creator handle and supported platform.

What is the best posting frequency?

There is no justified universal target in a public cadence sample. Plan around the specific format, resources and measured goals.

How should I interpret a posting gap?

Record it as a gap in the inspected window and ask relevant scheduling questions without inventing a cause.
