  • Define the buyer task before the creator category
  • Build a shortlist on supported sources
  • Worked example: staging observability
  • Make the partnership reviewable

Find B2B SaaS influencers by the work they can explain, then review a complete product demonstration before shortlisting them. An operator who teaches your buyer’s actual task may fit a training brief; an industry commentator may fit a launch conversation. Those are different deliverables. Public replies can identify relevant questions, but they do not prove job titles, purchase authority or pipeline.

Define the buyer task before the creator category

Write a sentence with the user, task and obstacle: “A platform engineer needs to instrument a staging service without exposing production secrets.” Decide whether the asset must teach setup, compare architecture, explain procurement or describe an operating practice. A founder story cannot substitute for an installation walkthrough.

  • For developer tools, inspect prerequisites, versions, failure cases and the distinction between demonstration and production environments.
  • For RevOps, look for workflow explanations with synthetic records rather than confidential CRM screenshots.
  • For category education, inspect competing approaches and disagreements. Approval of every sponsor is weak evidence of independent evaluation.

Build a shortlist on supported sources

The Pro Creator Finder supports TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, with an optional follower band. Search “OpenTelemetry staging setup tutorials” on YouTube, open citations and record their dates. Research public X practitioners, newsletters and conference speakers separately. LinkedIn Pulse provides sampled company-page themes, rather than a person-level prospecting directory.

  1. 1

    Review a full demonstration

Follow prerequisite to output. Record what was shown, asserted or left untested.

  2. 2

    Inspect the discussion

Save compatibility and setup questions. Visible commenters are a qualitative sample, not a verified buyer panel.

  3. 3

    Request campaign evidence

Ask for relevant dated analytics the finalist can lawfully share, plus rights, availability and fees. Do not infer private retention from views.

Worked example: staging observability

This fictional campaign compares a polished AI roundup creator with a practitioner who explains failed trace exports. Keep the practitioner for a technical walkthrough if the demo is reproducible. Consider the roundup creator only if broad product introduction is the goal. Neither choice predicts trial conversions.

  • Worksheet: creator URL; buyer task; demo URL/date; framework/version; environment; reproducible steps; caveat; confidential-data risk; outstanding evidence.
  • Acceptance test: use a synthetic service, show one trace arriving, explain a missing-trace failure path and identify the tested version.
  • Measurement: give the asset a tagged link; define a qualified trial event with product or sales; state the attribution window and other campaign activity.

Make the partnership reviewable

Agree access, embargo, permitted claims, corrections and reuse. YouTube branded content labels covers platform disclosure; approval should preserve honest findings. YouTube Analytics authorization explains why private reports require authorized access. A public search cannot establish retention, subscriber role mix or future sales.

Decision record

End with “demo brief suitable,” “commentary brief suitable,” or “more evidence required,” plus a link. Use similar-creator research to widen candidates and the campaign workflow to manage delivery.

Frequently asked questions

Can Creator Finder search individual LinkedIn or X creators?

Its picker supports TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. Research other channels separately; LinkedIn Pulse reports sampled company-page themes.

What demonstrates SaaS expertise?

A complete explanation of a relevant task, including prerequisites, versions and limitations. A title or popular post alone is insufficient.

Can comments show qualified pipeline?

No. Use authorized campaign analytics and a defined qualification event; public comments are research observations.
